30 Seconds To Mars About To Break A World Record! And Not For Hottest Band Ever!

Posted 15 hrs ago by Nicole James

30 Seconds To Mars is about to break a world record, and it isn't for Hottest Band in the Universe. (We're pretty sure that would have to be a tie between like, at least 15 bands we can think of.) Instead, on December 7, 30STM will perform their 300th and final show in support of their latest album, 2009's This Is War. That will be the most shows ever performed during a single album cycle. It'll also land the band in the Guinness Book of World Records.

About marking their 300th show milestone, frontman Jared Leto said, "We thought documenting this for posterity with the Guinness Book of World Records would be fun especially as we aren't any good at growing our fingernails very long or cultivating the world's largest squash." And I'll be the first to say thaaaaaaank goodness for that. No offense to like, pro-long fingernail people, but when your thumb nail is longer than I am tall, I think it's time to start reassessing what kind of life decisions you're making.

Tickets for the record-setting 30 Seconds To Mars show are now available in an exclusive fan club pre-sale through the band's website, with tickets available to the general public beginning Saturday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. ET.

Break those records, bros! Next up, longest French kiss? I know some willing participants (named me).
